Care

Pre-care

Arrive well-rested, well-hydrated, and in good physical condition. In the days leading up to your appointment, avoid alcohol consumption, sunburn, and any activity that may negatively impact your body and, consequently, your skin. Always inform us if you have any skin conditions, allergies, or health issues that could pose a risk or influence the process of getting a tattoo.

Aftercare

A special protective film called “second skin” has been applied to your tattoo, which will protect it for the duration recommended by your tattoo artist (typically 1–3 days). Make sure the area remains dry; other than that, there is nothing you need to do during this period. If you experience any allergic reaction, remove the film immediately!

After carefully removing the film, wash the tattooed area under running water using unscented or antibacterial soap with clean hands. Do not soak the area—keep rinsing time brief. Then pat the area dry using a clean paper towel.

Apply a thin layer of the aftercare cream recommended by your tattoo artist. Make sure not to overapply the cream so your skin can absorb it quickly.

In the first week, it’s advised to clean and moisturize the tattoo 5–6 times a day. From the second week onward, this can be reduced to 2–3 times a day, following the same steps described above (washing and moisturizing).

The average healing time is around 15 days. During this period, the tattoo should be treated as a wound. Accordingly, the following are strictly forbidden:

  • Sports or strenuous physical activity (avoid sweating)
  • Sauna, tanning beds, or direct exposure to strong sunlight
  • Swimming, soaking in a bathtub, or long showers
  • Exposure to dirt or airborne dust
  • Direct contact with pets
  • Picking or scratching the scabbing skin

The tattoo is considered healed once the scabbed layer naturally falls off, although this process may take shorter or longer than 15 days depending on the individual

Long-Term Care

Since your tattoo is on living tissue—your skin—its condition can change with your skin’s health. It’s recommended to keep your skin regularly moisturized and to use suitable sunscreen if exposed to sunlight, to help maintain your tattoo’s beauty and health over time.

Touch-Ups

If your tattoo fades or loses detail after the healing period—even if all aftercare instructions were followed—we will touch it up free of charge within 2 months of your appointment.

The need for touch-up work will be determined by the tattoo artist after reviewing a photo of the healed tattoo sent via email.

(If more than 2 months have passed, or if the touch-up is deemed unnecessary by the tattoo artist, we can only provide corrections for a pre-agreed fee.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us via email or phone!
